There are two types of your Facebook Ads reach:
- paid,
- organic.
Yes, your ads also get organic reach on Facebook! This happens every time when someone likes (reacts), comments or shares your ad (providing it’s displayed in the Newsfeed).
Organic reach has two advantages over paid reach:
- it’s free,
- it has social context, which means your ad is displayed to friends of the person that engaged with your ad.
The social context is a very important factor for campaign effectiveness. Various studies showed that ads with social context are 4 x more effective than the same ads without social context in terms of driving brand awareness, brand preference and click throughs. It’s because we tend to trust more in products or brands recommended by people we know. And for our brain the information that “your friend commented on this post” is enough to build positive association with the brand/product. Not to mention the attention such a message receives compared with a regular ad.
Thus, to boost your Facebook ads organic reach make them engaging so that people want to comment on them and share. Then monitor them closely and participate in the discussion. Even saying “thanks for sharing” or “we appreciate your opinion” is a great way to boost the ad engagement and make a positive impact on your ROI.
